Topics will include financial planning, tax planning, estate planning, retirement income, budgeting, business organization and tax deductions. Local CPA Mike Lowe and attorneys Cord Mellor and Jill McCrory join Wendy in presenting information about their respective professional areas of expertise. Each professional will provide an opportunity for a private consultation with attendees to be scheduled after the workshop.

February 27^th	United Way of South Sarasota County (UWSSC) 4th Annual Community Walkathon (Bronze Sponsor) The Gazebo in Centennial Park, Downtown Venice, FL Local non-profit organization teams participated in the Walkathon and received 50% of pledges they raised with the balance going toward funding agency programs supported by the UWSSC. (Note: Wendy has been Secretary on the UWSSC Board of Directors since 2005)

*February 13^th*	North Port Newcomer Day (Exhibitor) North Port Library, North Port, FL This free event is the collective project between the City of North Port, the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce and the North Port Library. Now in its third year, Newcomer Day traditionally features more than 40 government and nonprofit agencies inside the North Port Library. This is the first time that Chamber businesses were invited to attend! It is designed to be a time when new residents of North Port, including those considering moving to the city, can come learn about this community. Future dates are August 7^th and November 6^th.
